Mr. Shakib has been a member of many Bar Associations and served in different capacities, including Board Member and President of the Iranian American Lawyers Association. He is currently a Board Member of the Downtown Los Angeles Fashion District Association. From 1988 to the present, he has established and managed a boutique law firm with multiple attorneys in Southern California, with Northern California satellite offices during some of those years. His practice has included corporate, business, and real estate transactions as well as civil litigation, including several court and jury trials in the fields of business and personal injury.
From 1995 to the present, Mr. Shakib has managed, owned, and/or repositioned a number of real estate projects, both residential and commercial, including multi-tenant apartment buildings, shopping centers, industrial projects, and office buildings. Since 2008, he has reduced his legal professional activities and is now concentrating more on managing his own commercial real estate portfolio. He held a California Real Estate Salesperson License (1985–1989) and a California Real Estate Broker License (2006–2009).
